Health impact assessment

We use Health Impact Assessments (HIA) to support decision and policymaking. The HIA process combines a wide array of data sources, analytic methods, and input from stakeholders including community members to determine whether or not a proposed policy, plan, program, and/or decision has the potential to impact community health. An HIA will also reveal the distribution of these impacts within population subgroups differing by geography, socioeconomic status, and demographic characteristics.
