Public District Council Hearing: Concrete Batching Plant in Bladensburg

From Port Towns Environmental Action:

We just heard that the next point for the proposed Concrete Batching Plant in Bladensburg is Monday, February 11 at 10am before  the County/District Council. Thank you for your past support!

We need to fill the room! Can we count on you and your students??  (SE-4792 Ernest Maier Concrete Batching Plant -REMAND)

The District Council will hold  the ORAL Argument Hearing based on the Port  Towns Environmental Action’s appeal that was filed in opposition to the Zoning Hearing Examiner’s decision to allow the plant to proceed.

This is an extremely important point to show the County/District Council that the community is still in opposition to this proposed plant and should not be approved at this time.

If you can attend please wear red.

Our Goal:  We had over 60 people in red at the last hearing and we need to do that again !

Where:  County Council Hearing Room – first floor, County Administration Building, 14741 Governor Oden Bowie Drive, Upper Marlboro, 20772

When:  February 11 at 10am – meet us in the lobby at 9:30 am.

If you can help us spread the word - please pass along the attached flyer to your community members & neighbors. A  press release on the hearing and a Spanish version is also attached.

There are 6 new council members since we last spoke at District Council and they need to see and hear that the community has serious concerns about this plant.
